On Friday the 28th of November at 15:30 hr, Hermjan Barneveld will defend his dissertation, titled ‘To the bottom of the Meuse – Long-term riverbed morphodynamics in a heterogeneous subsoil’. The research addresses methods for faster predictions of long-term riverbed level changes, the value of sediment budgets, and the lessons learned from the extreme flood event in the Meuse River in July 2021.
