On May 8th Sjoukje de Lange will defend her PhD thesis entitled “The Rhythm of Rivers – On Dune Dynamics and Hydraulic Roughness”. In her PhD thesis, she explores two aims. Firstly, which environmental factors in the fluvial-to-tidal transition zone impact bedform geometry. Secondly, to which extent bedform geometry determines reach-scale hydraulic roughness.
The defense will take place on May 8th 2024 at 13:30h in the Omnia Auditorium in Wageningen, the Netherlands, and everyone interested can join. alternatively, it will be broadcasted via https://wur.yuja.com (Sjoukjes name will appear under “event” shortly before the start of the defense).
