EFM at PECS2024

Joris, Henk and Ton will be attending the Physics of Estuaries and Coastal Seas (PECS) conference from 23 to 27 September 2024 in Bordeaux, France. They will be presenting their latest research on estuarine dynamics, subtidal processes, and anthropogenic impacts on tidal systems.

Monday 14h00 – Salt Dynamics session
A new harmonic regression approach to predict estuarine salinity variation subject to storm surge effects (Daan van Keulen, Wouter Kranenburg and Ton Hoitink*)

Tuesday 09h45-11h15 – Anthropogenic Pressures & Climate Change Poster session
Poster #11: Human Footprint on Tides Dominates Water Levels in Estuaries and Tidal Rivers around the Globe (Joris Beemster*, Stefan Talke, Bas van Maren and Ton Hoitink)

Tuesday 17h00 – Lateral Processes & Bathymetry Effects session
Understanding three-dimensional subtidal salt transport processes in estuaries (Henk Jongbloed*, Henk Schuttelaars, Yoeri Dijkstra and Ton Hoitink)
